The PYXIS Multiresolution Digital Earth Model and its Promising Applications


Abstract: The PYXIS Multiresolution Digital Earth Model is being developed by the PYXIS Innovation Inc. I will introduce some mathematical problems related to this model such as indices of pixels, and sampling and re-sampling on this hierarchical grids. The promising applications of both the model and the arithmetic on the indices will also be addressed.
