You will find many lunch and dinner places on Franklin Street, the main street in the university district. You will find Franklin Street walking northbound from any place on campus.
Most restaurants are found in the blocks between Henderson St. and Church St. Highlights. Here is a list:
Coffee and Tea

--Carolina Coffee Shop,

--Mama Dip's, 405 W Rosemary St. The dopest for Southern cooking. Rosemary St. is one block north of Franklin, Mama Dip's is a few blocks west of campus.

Chapel Hill's first microbrewery. Contemporary American cuisine and handcrafted ales and lagers. Many dishes are made with beer, including desserts.
