Tradeoff-based decomposition of large-scale multiobjective programs
Abstract: The difficulties associated with deciding among alternatives when being evaluated by a large number of criteria have been very well recognized and necessitate the development of decomposition strategies for large-scale multiobjective programs. We establish conditions and a decomposition methodology to successfully identify an optimal decision to a large-scale problem while focusing on only small subsets of relevant criteria and controlling the overall performance through appropriate integration of tradeoff decisions between these subsets.
