Hybrid Gas-Kinetic Methods used to Obtain High Resolution Schemes
for Compressible Flows
Abstract: This talk deals with the development and use of high resolution schemes.
The schemes are created by using either kinetic theory and/or basic
calculus.
The schemes are used to solve and simulate one and two dimensional
compressible flows around bluff bodies and to capture shocks.
The ideas of Ohwada et al, Xu et al, Prendergast, and others are used to
formulate these schemes.
